It was the worst ER ever. Seriously. I'm glad we weren't bleeding profusely or I'm certain we would have died. 3 hours till we even got in a room and 3 more hours of being in the room. They took an x-ray of his lungs to make sure it wasn't namonea and put an IV in his tiny hand to give him fluids.
It was so sad seeing him look like this.
Turns out he has RSV. Which apparently they can do absolutely nothing for. His fever got up to 104 while we were in the hospital which I guess is uncommon in RSV. They took a urine sample and blood sample to make sure he didn't have any other sicknesses. In the end they told us to say in the hospital. They moved us up to the 5th floor and just watched Lincoln. Thats pretty much all. Watched him.
Once the fever reducers kicked in he was much happier. I love that he could smile even when he was feeling so crumbly.
Who knew that they could just hold you at the hospital?! I felt like a hostage. I guess it's more like we were in quorintin. All the nurses had to wear a face mask and a disposable over shirt when they came into check on him. It was a long long day. I hadn't slept much the night before, then I was up all night in the ER and then I was up all night in thehospital.
