Friday Jan 1st

Nick fell sleep before midnight. And I did too but I also we woke up before midnight. We stayed up late chatting and watching movies last night. It was a pretty uneventful New Year's eve but still fun to be with family. I need to get some goals made. I feel like I've been a big slacker this whole break. I am not looking forward to going back to real life.

We went to the beach with Jordan and Bri's family and walked around. We tried to make it to the Torrey Pines trails but it was so so crowded that we changed our minds.  We ended up at La Jolla Shores with hopes of seeing the typos but no such luck. We ended up just walking out which was still very fun.  We got some more use out of her selfie stick. We all made faces and enjoyed the beautiful ocean and the smells of the sea. I got the hold Harper for a long time and she enjoyed snuggling into me and I enjoyed snuggling her. It was another great day.
