We hiked Rock Canyon with Ammon today for Ella's day off. At first I thought the kids would make it 5 feet up the hill. mom wanted so tired. Mom I can't do it. Mom I am so tired. Mom my legs aren't as strong as yours. But they really pulled through and we made it for a good long hike even with a bunch of snow on the ground. 

The funny story of the day is this: Leasee had to go to the bathroom so bad. We were very near the bathrooms so we asked if she could make it. She said yes and we walked about 50 more feet and she stops and says "I'm going!" We pull over to the side of the road, pretty much out in the open, and Nick helps Lisey drop her pants and holds her up so she can pee and poop. We brought baby wipes so at least she could wipe her bum. As we were getting Lisey cleaned up, Ammon decided to be a good Boy Scout and push the poop more into the bushes so no one would step on it. He got a stick to fling it off to the side and in the process he flung small piece of poop onto his face. At first he didn't notice the poop but he notice the smell. He thought maybe he got some on his hands but as he was looking down he saw that it was right on his nose. I laughed so hard I cried. I couldn't stop laughing for a full five minutes and then periodically throughout the night I just started chuckling again randomly. It was so crazy hilarious. It definitely rivals the time that I drank Cameron's pee on accident in the car. Crazy funny.

After we hiked, we got Café Rio and went to Ammon's house to play and eat. Kim met us there. I'm not sure if I mentioned this before but Ammon and Kim got engaged a couple days ago. Very exciting times. Ammon and his roommate wrestled the kids and they had a fun time getting every ounce of energy out of their bodies. You'd think they'd be more tired after a long hike, but I guess kids renew their energy very very quickly. We finished the night at the park and then drove home. We got sonic slushy's for our family home evening treat. What a fun family filled day.
