Link slept terrible. He woke up at 10pm then I held him till 1am and finally just brought him into bed with me because he would not stay asleep in his own bed. In my bed he slept fitfully and wanted to nurse every hour or so. I think he's getting more teeth, and I think they may be the pesky molars. Ouch. Sweet Nick got up and got Ella ready for school and held Lincoln while I slept in a bit. Then I got up and went for a quick run all by myself. I made very good time.
Then Sian, Ammon and I, and Lincoln of course, went to my great uncle Dallas' funeral. Nick took Lisey to work with him, which she really enjoyed. She's such a daddy's girl. It was really nice going to the funeral. I remember great uncle Dallas as a kind man with a good sense of humor and a ready smile. He played Santa at Christmas parties back when I was a little girl and he was a good jolly example of Santa Clause. It was great to see my uncle David and my aunt Nancy who I haven't seen for a very long time. I was glad to support Grandma and see some other cousins and relatives.
It was interesting going to the funeral. It really makes you contemplate the circle of life. We all are born grow old and die. It is in evitable. Every person on the earth will someday day die, including my family and myself. It's definitely not something that I think about often. But being there in that room with all those people that missed their dad or grandfather so much...it makes you think about a persons life and what it really means. It made me wonder what my funeral will be like and what people will say about me. I'm so grateful for the plan of salvation, a plan that allows us to return to live with her Heavenly Father and to live with our family forever. If I didn't have that knowledge death would be constant fear in my life. Thank you Heavenly Father for Thy mercy in saving us from our sins and having a plan for our eternal happiness. I feel very blessed to have the Gospel in my life.
Then in the evening we celebrated Steve's birthday! We had rice crispy cake and played super smash brothers.
