Well we decided to go to San Diego. A one day drive seems like such a short distance compared to the two plus days from Texas. The drive has been ok. I've held Link a good portion of the time. At night though through the final canyon in California it felt very unsafe to have him out. Poor little guy screamed and screamed.  Then we sang him "I am a Child Of God" and he stopped crying right away. Two songs later he was out. He just needed a little touch of the spirit and then he could have peace and sleep.   

Singing "I am a Child Of God" has worked everytime to get Link to calm down. A couple of instances he needed it song a few times but it always worked. Link is very sensitive to the spirit. What a sweetie. 

We listened to the entire book of Princess Academy by Shannon Hale. It was great. I've read it before but it was fun to listen to.

 In Baker we stopped for beef jerky at this weird Alien Jerky place. It used to be just a shack and now it's a big store. 

We're almost to San Diego! Beach here we come!!
