This morning in the shower Ella was being very very sweet. She told me that I was the best mom ever and that I was the best cook ever and that I should open our own family restaurant because I was such a great cook. She told me that she was so glad that I was your mom and that she was my daughter. She was so glad that I married Nick (her exact words haha) so that she could be in our family instead of going to some other family. She also said she was glad that we decided to have Lincoln because then we can call him the king of Cute and tell him how adorable he is. I savored every moment of it. Ella is such a sweet girl.
The other day Ella and Will were playing sorry. They both wanted the blue pieces as theirs. I told them to rock paper scissors for it. Ella won, but Will still wanted the blue pieces. I told Ella that if she wanted to have compassion that she would let Will have the blue pieces. She thought for a moment and then handed them over to him. Oh Ella you're so kind. Thanks for being such a great example of goodness.
These experiences are also reminded me of today at church when Ella really wanted to roll down a big grasshill in her church dress. I told her it wasn't a good idea because it would get her dress all dirty and that it probably wasn't the best Sunday activity. Then I told her that if she thought Heavenly Father would have a big smile on his face if she went down the hill then she should do it, but if she thought that he would have a frown on his face then she shouldn't do it. I left the decision in her hands. She rolled down the hill. I guess she figured that Heavenly Father would enjoy watching her roll down the hill. Leave it to little kids to understand God's good nature haha.
Thank you Heavenly Father for such wonderful children.
