Today we went to the Illinois State Museum. It was a very very cool free place to go. They had a lot of history stuff and science stuff, but what the kids liked most was the children's area where they could just play and explore.
Lincoln absolutely loved driving in the play car. As I mentioned before he loves to drive. Lisey also loves to drive and they had a fun time playing together.
After the museum we went to a place called Scheel's and made Father's Day presents for Nick. It a free activity you could do. We made wooden boards that said happy dad's day on them. Lisey also made Nick a card. Awesomely enough Lisey also won the raffle drawing for a $25 gift card. It was a very fun time. Oh I almost forgot to mention The kids got a free Ferris wheel ride. I couldn't go on with Lincoln so one of the employees went on with them. They thought it was the coolest thing ever and will probably want to go back every day to ride it again and again.
I guess we tried to fit too much in today bc Ella came home and had a big tantrum. She wanted to watch the hungry catipillar on TV and I had already told her no more TV. We sent her to her room to calm down. It worked great. She came out very calm and with a plan. This is what Ella had written on the white board ...
3. Clean room (I guess she messed it up in her anger)4. Wash dishes (service)
5. Make bed (service)
6. Don't be spoiled (haha I love this one the best, no more begging for stuff at the store. I love that she put that on her to do list haha).
Ella is great kid...not a perfect kid but a great one :).
