In the morning I packed packed packed and then in the afternoon Ella had her gymnastics competition. I guess it wasn't really a competition. It was kind of like a show of what she's learned so far. She did get a metal though and had a lot of fun doing it.
Lisey had a ton of fun cheering for her sister. She was very vocal about how proud she was of Ella and Ella loved every moment of it. Ella loves when we cheer for her. I'm thinking that 'words of affirmation' must be one of Ella's love languages.
After the gymnastics thing we took Joan out for dinner for her birthday. We went to Olive Garden per her request. I think she had a good time. We bought the food and brought the entertainment a.k.a. the children. Going out to eat with kids is always an adventure and hardly any eating actually goes on.
After the food we went back home and Lincoln took a well-deserved nap. I had a lot more packing to do. The girls were feeling rather bored so I let them take one of Nick's half used shaving cream cans outside. They put their swimming suits on and went crazy with the foam on the trampoline.
