We got out early on Saturday morning which was awesome because everywhere was way less crowded.
The kids loved playing in this cool area where different faces popped up and then they'd spit water into the middle. It was really cool.
Then we saw a bunch of people doing yoga in the same spot we heard the orchestra last night.
Ella and lisey joined in the fun.
Then we went to the bean again and this time it was much less crowded and easy cooler to see in the morning light.
Link was such a good sport. I just carried him around in my wrap and he slept when he needed to and was happy almost the entire time. He's such a good baby...particularly while he's being held by mom (me).
Then we went and ate lunch on Navy pier.
This cool garden was inside where we ate at a Mexican restaurant for lunch. The fountains went right over your head. It was cool. We got the girls a souvenir or two or three. We spent way too much money... Lisey was dying to get that fox and that dagger but it was pretty pricey for a stuffed animal and who knew what she do with the dagger. Nick and I were joking that she was trying to convince the fox to tell her "what the fox says" (get it... like her favorite song "what does the fox say?" Haha).
These were cool bronze statues of kids running and pulling each other in a line. Nick and Ella got in line to pull and Lisey fghggot in line to get drug behind. It was cute.
Then we found a nice spot on the grass to wait for fireworks. Nick really wanted to get a good seat so we waited for five hours to see the lamest fireworks I've ever seen. I promised not to be mad so I'm not, but it was pretty lame. The fireworks lasted for a total of 15 minutes. The entire time there was sirens going off all around us and we were reminded that we were in Chicago; a dangerous city. Government work at its best. Thanks Obama. My favorite part of the fireworks was hearing Lisey yell "that's my color that's my color" whenever a pink firework would pop.

At least the kids had fun playing on the grass. Poor Nick had an adventure of his own. He went all the way back to the hotel to get us a blanket to sit on and to get us more of that good pizza. He took Lincoln with him which ended up being a labor of love because he carried him for three or 4 miles. It was a long trip and his arms were exhausted from caring the pizza blankets and Lincoln.
