Wed July 8th

It rained all day today. What a boring Rain filled day. I still went for a run even in the pouring rain, I just wore a rain jacket. I've started a new audio book called peaceful parents happy kids where the theme is basically "all you need is love". It talks about how to be the best parent possible you need to have inner peace first. That means absolutely no yelling. When you get mad, take a small time out and get the madness out before you deal with the situation. At first I thought it sounded a little hokey but as I've tried to implement connecting more with the kids and not letting myself get mad I've realized just how true that it. The kids listen more and feel happier when I connect with them and especially when I don't yell. And I feel happier too. Find that inner peace and connect with your kids... Sounds easy enough... ish... I'll keep you updated on how it goes. 

Ella did many many chores today to earn enough money to get a Furby boom. I was very very proud of her. It's probably the hardest she's ever worked for something. She clean both toilets and the rest of the bathroom, she did the dishes, she cleaned her room, she cleaned my room-ish, and she picked up the living room. Way to go Ella! She feels so proud of all her hard work and that's worth all the money we paid her and much much more! She almost use your money for an instant gratification when we went to target to get something that looked cool for a moment. But she decided to wait to get the Furby boom online. She'll have to wait a couple days but she's so happy she didn't get the other toy at store.
