Ella already made a new friend here at Washington Park and is playing very happily with her. That's my social butterfly. I do worry sometimes though that with her sociable attitude that she'll grow up not wanting to listen to me as much as she wants to listen to her friends. I guess I'll just have to make sure I teach her what's right and how to make good choices, no matter what her friends think or say.

Thurs July 2nd
I was reminded again today just how different Ella and my personalities are. We came to Washington Park again and as we drove up I noted to Ella that it was very very crowded. Then I asked her if she'd rather go to a different park because of how crowded it was. Her reply was that "the crowded, the better. The more kids there are the more likely I will be able to make a friend." And then she noted that her and I were very different in that way. She said "i likes the crowds and you don't." It's very true Ella and I are very different in that way. She can make friends with just about anybody willing, where as I have a very difficult time being outgoing enough to make a new friend in a snap. I'm kind and sociable when they're sociable but I'd never be the first one to try and make a friend. I wish my personality was more like Ella's. She'll have a very happy life with that attitude.
