Mon Feb 9, 2015

We went to Cabo San Luis today. It was a pretty short stop so we just went to the beach. It was a pretty cool beach though. It was on its own little island. We had to take a water taxi to get there. There were these huge rock hills on the island and then sand in between the rocks. We did some snorkeling and swimming and played some smash ball.  There were these cute little yellow fish that had tentacles for helping them find food off the rocks. There was also lots of sea urchins and crabs on the rocks. The water was nice, not as warm as the Gulf of Mexico but still a nice refreshing temperature. Great great day.
Us on the ship, very excited bc we finally spotted land.
View of Cabo from side of the boat.
We made it off the ship and onto Los Cabos!!
Us just being weird on the water taxi.
A look at the island we swam on from far off.
A lady had a iguana that she convinced us to hold for a price. At least we got some pics of it.
These two pics show the two sides of the island. This one had waves that crashed way close to shore and would pummel you if you didn't time your entry right. The other side was much calmer and was great for snorkeling.
We went snorkeling over on the other side of those rocks. There were crabs crawling all over the rocks. They didn't have any front pitchers. Weird.
On the island. Thats our cruise ship in the background.
Headed back to the ship on the water taxi. Awesome day.
The first two were taken from the water taxi on the way back to the ship. And that last one was a last view from our balcony of Cabo before we set sail again. Gorgeous!

Letter from Joan about the girls...

Fortunately, Lisey woke up feeling well, although she woke up at 6:35with Ella.  I thought she might fall asleep at some point, she she didn't go to sleep until 10 lastnight.  Nope, she was full of energy.  After school, we went to the park for about 1 1/2 hrs.  Lisey is still quite shy about playing with others.  I thought she might fall asleep on the way home.  Nope.  She was a live wire this evening, perhaps over-tired.  In the picture, the girls are comparing what they have in their purses. I got them each a few things to put in their bags.  A healthy dinner of chicken, salad and Italian bread, showers and a combined FHE/book reading with prayers and Primary songs.  They were asleep be 8:30 PM.  Now I am going to get ready to go to bed.  Keep having a great time.  We love you both.  Btw - hugs and love given to the girls from you both.

Love, Mom
