Another awesome port day in Puerto Vallerta. We took a taxi down to the boardwalk for a little shopping and then another taxi to a secluded beach.
Along the boardwalk there were a lot of artists who carved up the sand into different designs and shapes. On the way back to the ship we even saw a guy that looked like he was made of sand, sitting at a sand table playing sand chess. Nick and I both thought he was really sand...and then he moved.
The boardwalk went right along the beach and we got a great view of the clear blue water and tropical atmosphere. There was also these weird chairs that had little bums on them. Of course we acted like total tourists and took pictures by everything.

We got souvenirs for the kids and joan and my family. We spent way too much money, but at least we got some pretty cool stuff  that I think everyone will like.
Nicks man friends... Brennan, Grant and Nick.

The beach was fabulous. Sunshine and warm water. What else could you ask for? (Ok besides having our kids with us.) The beach was quite and private enough that there weren't any vendors trying to sell us stuff (probably because it was a hotel's beach). Nick, Brennan, Grant and I were in the nice warm water for a long time. The waves were ginormous, but as long as you were paying attention, they were pretty easy to manover around so you could avoid getting pummeled. It was pretty fun though, getting almost pummeled and tugged and pulled around in the water. At one point a fish jumped out of the water right next to me and I screamed super loud. We all had a good laugh about that.
There were a bunch of iguanas under that sidewalk. He let us get really close and then just looked at us like who are these crazy people. I guess we do look pretty crazy....

This trip has reminded me over and over why I don't drink. People act so stupid when they're under the influence. We found out tonight at dinner that one of Nick's boys had to get 7 stitches in his head. He was drunk and decided to go out to the beach at night. A huge wave crashed and he came out of the water with a bloody head. I guess he cut an artery. His buddy tried to put pressure on the wound but it kept soaking shirts. $400 later he had 7 stitches. Doesn't drinking sound so fun? Yeah right!
