After church we went back up that cool lake that we discovered on Saturday. It was so nice to be out in nature and enjoy the beauty of God's creations. The only part I regret was that we told the kids that they could bring the sleds so we could pull them around on them. That was a mistake because of course once they saw snow and a hill, they wanted to sled, which is not a very good Sunday activity. So shame on me. I was being wishy-washy about letting them bring the sled even though Nick thought it was a bad idea. It's something I definitely need to change and something my parenting book strongly says not to do. The kids need to know they can trust your word so no going back after you say something. Oh well...we will have to learn our lesson from this mistake and be more faithful Latter Day Saints from here on out. Sorry Heavenly Father.
