Tues Nov 10th

So Link slept terrible again. But as I was lying here in bed awake at 7am, not feeling all that tired, I had a thought. Perhaps I need to stop praying only for link to sleep through the night. I thought of the scripture where Nephi and his people are tromping through the wilderness surviving only on raw meat and the women grew strong and still had suck for their children. Heavenly Father didn't take away their trial of eating raw meat and hiking round through the brush, but he did make them strong enough to handle it. Thank you Heavenly Father for making me strong enough to handle being awake a lot of the night and still being able to function....especially with when my husband is out of town and my cute little 4 year old comes wakes me up because she's peed the bed.

I just realized something else...in my patrartical blessing it says to read the scripture often. Revelation comes to me through the scriptures. Scriptures will come to my mind as answers from Heavenly Father. Wow. I'm sure that that has happened to me before now, but never has it been quite so clear as it was this morning. Wow! Thank you Heavenly Father for that tender mercy. And for showing me how I receive revelation. That has always been hard for me. I've always felt that I don't receive much revelation. I always knew it was fault of course because Heavenly Father is real and I know he answers prayers. I just had a hard time hearing him. Looking back now I suppose He has just trusted me to follow my righteous desires (another way my patrartical blessing says I receive revelation). This is an amazing epiphany. Thank you journal for helping me put my thoughts to words and realize more clearly God's hand in my life.

Ella missed the bus today so I let her stay home from school. It was freezing and snowing outside and I'm a wimp for bad weather. The deal was that she had to finished all her homework for the week today. She agreed.

We braved the cold to take Lisey to swim lessons. Ella loved seeing what her sister does while she's at school, but she wished hard core that she could get in too. Unfortunately we had to hurry to preschool right after swim lessons. The kids shared some popcorn on the way. While Lisey was at preschool, Link napped and Ella worked on her load of homework, while I cleaned my room.

After preschool I took the kids to the Curiosity Museum, even though I really didn't want to leave the house. It is so cold! What's up with this terrible weather in November?! But I braved up and took the kids. They all had a fun time and it wore them all out.

Lisey loved playing market the best.
Lincoln acting like a little monkey.
Lincoln loves to climb. He wanted to sit on the potter's wheel and get up close and person with the sand action.
The kids put on a lovely play. I didn't get a good pic, but Lisey also preformed a beautiful ballet number.
Link pushed that wheel barrel all over the play area. He can stand all by himself, and this makes me think he'll be walking soon.
