We started the day off with a dance party, while we waited for the weather to warm up so we could go for a run. The only rule was you had to keep moving. I actually got a pretty good sweat up just from dancing. It's good to know that if the weather is poor we can always have a dance party to get some exercise. Then I went for a run. It was still pretty cold out but I got 3 miles in before we were too freezing. While Link took a mini snooze, Lisey and I took a shower and got her ready for preschool. While Lisey was at preschool, Lincoln was grouchy. So I played with him on the floor and watched my new piano lesson DVD. It had a simplified piano learning method on it. He was kind of a silly man, but he's theory seems to be a lot simpler than having to learn the bass clef. You just play the chords with your left hand and your right hand plays the melody.
The rest of the day was a bit trying until everyone went to bed. Ella played too long after school and her homework was a great big headache. It didn't help that I was feeling very tired and on edge from all of Link's grouchiness. I'll admit I was not my most patient self and I felt frustrated about that. I was ready for everyone to go to bed. If only I could get Link to take consistent naps, maybe I wouldn't be so tired by the end of the day. I know it doesn't help one drop that Nick is out of town and I have no help with all the kids. I am just tired.
After the kids went to bed though, I practiced playing "I believe in Christ". It was soothing and also fun to hear myself playing the piano. Especially since it's something I've wanted to do all my life and now I'm finally doing it. Hooray!
